The Early Years is where your child's journey begins. In Reception the children are immersed in engaging, interactive and challenging activites. We strive on our carefully thought out curriculum which promotes independece and resilience.
This Summer half term we are reading 'Dinosaurs Love Underpants', 'How to catch a star', ‘Mr Grumpys Vehicle’ and ‘The Three Little Pigs’. This term we are focussing on History and looking specifically at 'old and new'. The children will be going on a trip to the Transport Museum and Coventry Cathedral to further enhance ther learning.
Our Maths will be focused on number 11-20 and introduce . Children will also be learning about sharing and grouping, and looking at maps to follow simple directions.
The children will be going out into the wider community to enhance their learning. They will be exploring the Summer season. We will be walking alongside Foleshill Road to observe features of their community and looking at signs of Sumemr in the park and surroundings. Children will be extending their learning to explore History and how things looked in the past.
We have set up Floppy's Phonics online for parents. This will allow you to access the teaching tools we use in school as well as some ebooks for reading. If you're not sure how to log on, please ask a member of staff. We will gladly help you!
Reminders!
Please can you ensure you read to your child at least 3 times a week.
Remember to bring book bags in everyday.
Note: We have a reading scheme linked to our Floppy's phonics. Any damaged and lost books will have to be paid for, there is a £5 charge.
P.E is on Wednesday, your child needs to be dressed in their P.E kit.
Please make sure your children are wearing the correct school uniform and school shoes!

- Black or grey trousers
- Black or grey skirt/dress
- Black school shoes
Please write your child's name on their uniform and coats.
