The children are using the environment with confidence, we focus our planning on the children’s interest enabling them to play and learn. The children learn through their play and access resources linked to the 7 areas of learning;

  • Communication and Language

  • Physical development

  • Mathematics-focused group work daily

  • Personal, social and emotional

  • Literacy- phonics group work daily

  • Understanding the world-through topic work

  • Expressive arts and design-focused work on artist and their work

We send ½ termly letters outlining what your child will be learning in class for each of the areas of learning.

We provide fun and stimulating activities to meet the needs of all children as every child is unique. The staff ensure that children develop positive relationships to become confident and independent learners.

This term we will be looking at the stories: Owl Babies and Goldilocks. In addition to our topic books we will be looking at different celebrations such as Diwali, Bonfire Night and Christmas and what makes us and our families special.

Depending on the weather we will go going to Foleshill Road to look at seasonal autumn changes and see how the community celebrates Diwali.

After half term (we are back on Monday 30th October!) children will be learning all about people who help us. This will involve visits from the West Midlands Fire Service and West Midlands Police Service. We will be visting Edgwick Park to observe the Autmn changes. Parents are welcome to join us.

We will be celebrating Christmas by looking at the Christmas story and performing a Nativity play which will be held on December 21st. All parents are welcome to watch their children perform.
